Why Inventive Kids?

As I am writing this, I am surprised to realise that my son has been going for their programmes for 2 years now! And counting for sure. As an educator myself, I am very choosy and particular in the choice of centre and programme to enrol my children in. I need to be sure that my son has interest and some innate strength in it first and foremost. Secondly, the centre I choose has to share similar values as me. And in this case, Inventive Kids was a perfect match. They firmly believe in learning of mathematical and scientific concepts through play. He also learns about construction and gears and of course robotics and programming. The founders are clearly knowledgeable in this area and the teachers they have engaged are equally passionate in what they do. KinderSTEM™ is a developmental, heuristic play-based STEM program for preschoolers, nurturing a holistic skill set of visual-perceptual abilities, cognitive processing, motor skills and real world STEM application knowledge.
Our lessons incorporate hands-on applications and real world knowledge into activities that aim to develop logical reasoning and problem solving strategies, providing an early advantage in critical thinking for your child. Every activity also has the consistent theme of developing a child's visual-spatial perceptions, working memory, eye-hand coordination and motor skills.
We have also included a hands-on screenless coding program in our KinderSTEM™ curriculum that is suitable for young learners. Through hands-on play, our students will develop cognitive abilities, imagination and coding skills!

Robots are most often associated with technology and other STEM-related fields. However, learning robotics has educational benefits beyond simply learning to build and program the robots themselves.

We are a beta-test panelist in Asia and communicate directly with LEGO Education in Billund Denmark on quality and user experience issues. Inventive Kids is well-positioned to bring the best learning to our students.
6 to 7 years-old
A program to kick start a young child's robotics journey! WeDo Robotics is a simple yet powerful robotics program where our students gain real world knowledge and robotics skills by replicating modern technologies through robotic building & programming.
We have a one-year curriculum that progresses young learners from basic to advanced robot building and programming appropriate for their age. Our focus is the development of the child - from visual-spatial and fine motor skills (robot building) to logical thinking (building algorithms during programming).
Conducted by our STEM Educators who are not only well-versed in the subject but who also love children and are dedicated to make each lesson fun and fulfilling.
8 years-old and above
A challenging and immersive program that mirrors real world applications. Students will incorporate Mathematics, Physics and Engineering concepts into their robot design & programming to solve challenges.
At Inventive Kids, we use a problem-based learning model where our Play-gineers are presented with a problem they must solve. No building instructions, no ready answers for them. They need to work out their own solutions to the problem. And this starts with designing a feasible robot that would achieve the objective within the constraints presented by the problem. This requires them to think deeply and creatively about their designs, and to critique their designs in order to make the best possible creation to achieve the objective.
After 12 lessons to build their foundation knowledge, those who are enthusiastic roboticists can pursue further development with our perpetual Mindstorms Continued Missions, designing and programming robots to tackle challenges presented on official competition formats.
