  • 1. Is my child eligible for the programs?
Our programs are age-appropriate for children between 4 to 14 years old. There is no pre-requisite for the children to have prior STEM and/ or robotics knowledge to join our programs. KinderSTEM program is suitable for children who have already turned 4 years old. WeDo 2.0 robotics program is suitable for 5 to 7 years old. Spike Prime robotics program is suitable for 8 years old and above.
  • 2. Is there a minimum requirement for the child to have to attend the program(s)?
Although there is no pre-requisite for the children to have prior STEM and/ or robotics knowledge to join our programs, a student’s ability to focus during lessons is the most critical requirement for our programs. Our lessons are not a typical robotics lesson where students only need to follow building instruction & download a standard coding and then to play with the robot. The lessons are intensive and introduce many interdisciplinary STEM concepts that are new to the students, especially in the basic lesson. We understand that each child develops at a different pace and if a child is not yet ready to remain focused for the required duration of the program, he or she can enrol at a later stage so as to benefit from our program(s). Else, they may find the lesson pace too fast for them to follow & difficult for them to understand.
  • 3. Can a trial lesson or an assessment be arranged to ascertain my child’s suitability and interest for the program?
The respective programs trial lesson as follows: A) The first lesson of KinderSTEM (for 4 year-olds); B) WeDo Basic (for 5 to 7 year-olds); C) Spike Prime Basic (8 to 12 year-olds); The fee of the trial lesson is equivalent to the fee of one lesson of the program. If your child has attended WeDo/ Boost/ Mindstorms/ Spike Prime robotics lessons before with other learning centres or his/ her school, and would like to continue with us, we will require an assessment (about 20 minutes) to ascertain his/ her proficiency level, especially on coding. After the assessment, we will recommend a suitable level for the child to continue with us. There is no cost for the assessment but a prior appointment needs to be made. If your child has not attended any of the above robotics lesson before, he/ she has to begin with the basic lesson.
  • 4. Can the parent sit in with the child during the trial lesson?
During the trial lesson, our teacher(s) will need to establish a rapport with the new students. This allows the teacher(s) to assess the students from their reactions to ascertain their understanding on the verbal and pictorial instructions to carry out the required tasks. A parent’s presence does not encourage such interactions as the child feels more comfortable with the parent. Besides, COVID-19 Safe Management Measures allow only the students and teachers to be in the classroom during lessons.
  • 5. My child refuses to enter the centre. Will the class wait for my child before it begins?
It is a good practice to prepare your child, especially prior to attending his or her first lesson. If the child refuses to enter our classroom, his/ her parent or guardian have to calm the child down outside the centre. We will only allow entry to our classroom when the child is ready for the lesson, so as not to disrupt the on-going classes. No refund or make-up class will be given if the child is unable to attend the lesson under such circumstance.
  • 6. How do I register and what are the payment methods?
Once the parents have decided on the date & time of the lesson, we can proceed with the registration at our end with the parent's name, mobile number, email address, the child's name and birthday via WhatsApp. An invoice will be emailed to the parent to enable online payment. The registration is complete when the payment is confirmed.
  • 7. Must I pay the full amount upfront?
We require full payment to confirm the registration on a first come first serve basis as our class size is small.
  • 8. What is the refund policy?

  • 11. Are your teachers qualified to conduct lessons for special needs children?
